Jobs to Keynote Two Important Upcoming Events

Ever the busy speaker, Steve Jobs is to keynote two large Apple events in the coming months. Right on the heels of introducing the iBook at MacWorld New York, Jobs will first give a "Special Keynote" at Seybold Seminars San Francisco, a large publishing and media show. Scheduled from 9:00 to 10:15 AM on Tuesday, August 31st, it should prove to be very exciting. Rumors have run rampant that this is the likely event at which Jobs will introduce the next-generation Power Mac, since both that product and the show are geared towards media creation professionals.

Not long after, Jobs will fly across the Atlantic Ocean for Apple Expo Paris '99, which runs from September 15th to 19th, with over 200 exhibitors of Mac products attending. Jobs will give a "strategy and new products" keynote on the first day of the show, Wednesday September 15th. Given the title of the keynote, again rumors abound that this show will bring a refreshed iMac, though the jury is still out.

Overall, the next few months will be very exciting for Apple. Given the high-flying stock price, rumors of high iBook preorders, these two keynotes, then the excitement of the holiday season and build-up to MacWorld San Francisco, it's guaranteed that there won't be a dull moment in the Mac news.
