MacMall Promotion Goof, Pismo for Hundreds Less

The deal's over, we hope we were able to save some of you some money!

MacMall.com, a leading catalog and online Macintosh reseller, had a promotion in place before all of Apple's recent hardware announcements. They were offering $200 off instantly on all orders above between $3400 and $4300 and $100 off all orders between $1800 and $2899. You quickly can see that both Pismo models fall under each of these categories. Since the Pismo 500 MHz retail price is $3499, if you order a Pismo on their website today, you get an instant rebate of $200, or $3294, a price that can't be beat! The 400 MHz price comes to $2349.

Here's a reader email that first alerted us to the situation:

I just ordered my new 500 Mhz powerbook from MacMall. I am number 21 on the backorder list. They said they will receive them this week and will ship out overnight immediately.

They are selling them for $3294.00. When I asked them why they have a $200.00 discount she said they were giving an automatic $200.00 discount for orders over $3400.00, but they had not intended to include the new Apple products. They are honoring the mistake for the present.

MacMall quotes their stock as this week. This promotion is likely to change very soon, so please jump on these amazing deals while you can!
