Griffin Revs iMate Driver, Adds Better 'Bronze' PB Support

Late Sunday we received a PR email from Griffin Technologies letting us know they've been working hard on the iMate's driver. The iMate is a simple hardware device that allows you to use legacy ADB devices with your USB-only Mac, such as an iMac or 'Bronze' PowerBook. Here's the contents of their release:
Griffin Technology, Inc. today posted beta version 1.5b1 of the iMate driver for their popular iMate USB to ADB adapter. The new version provides for more flexible control and improved support for the new PowerBook G3, Lombard models. The update provides a tighter integration between the iMate driver and the iMate Fiddler application. Performance and compatibility changes can now be made to the iMate on-the-fly. This makes tuning the performance of an ADB device much easier. Additional changes were also made that may improve reliability when awakening from sleep mode on the new PowerBook G3 "Lombard" models.
For those that were having USB issues with the "Lombard" G3 models, we suggest you try the new update, and see if this solves things. We applaud Griffin for supporting their product so well. Note that this is 'beta' software, meaning it's pre-release quality, so be sure to have a backup of all critical data at all times./BLOCKQUOTE>
