Greene County Schools Renew iBook Program

Greene County in North Carolina has renewed their schools' iBook program, a collection of more than 2000 iBooks for student use. AppleInsider has an interesting summary of some of the latest information on Intel's Yonah processor, likely to be found in the first Intel laptops from Apple. A 2.3 GHz version is expected by the middle of 2006.

It appears that Apple could eliminate both the 14-inch iBooks and the 12-inch PowerBooks with 13-inch widescreen portables, though whether a 13-inch model would come in both an iBook and PowerBook incarnation is unclear.
