Reader Question: Keychain Problem

Since it seems more than one reader might be having this problem, we'll post and ask the rest if they have some answers:

Question to PB Zone readers,

Today I started experiencing a problem with Keychain Access. It suddenly asked me to enter my password when I opened Mail. I used my login password (I've never set a different password for my keychain), and got an error. Now I have the following problems:

1) Keychain Access keeps prompting me for my password, whenever I open Mail or Safari.

2) I can't create a new keychain after erasing the problem one (I've tried using Keychain Access to remove the problem file, no luck... restored it from back up, no luck... used Keychain First Aid, no luck).

I've noticed a lot of people asking about this problem on the Apple Knowledge Base Discussion board, but haven't found an answer to the problem yet.

Anyone have any answers? Anyone know if Apple is going to address this issue? Any assistance will be appreciated!
