TT-35 3.5" FireWire Hard Disk Enclosures

In Stock-Shipping same day.

What is it?

We were lucky enough to purchase a quantity of these units at a very good price. After keeping several for our own testing and use, we've made the rest available to our readers at the price of $100 plus FREE shipping via UPS Ground or other methods at a fee--see below.

The Triumph Technology TT-35 is an external case for a 3.5" IDE hard drive. You purchase a drive on your own (the latest cheap prices can be found at DealMac...120 GB drives are around $150 right now) and the installation takes about five minutes at the most. It allows you to connect what used to be an internal 3.5" IDE drive to the external FireWire interface on any FireWire-equipped Mac.

You'll receive a brand new product in the original factory box. The box is well padded and includes the enclosure, a five foot high-quality FireWire cable, all the screws needed for mounting the drive and attaching the two halves, as well as a power cable. The drive enclosure is highly portable--the thinnest we've seen yet--but it does require wall power.

The enclosure is a silver color that complements the color of any Mac. it comes with a stand for the unit to stand upright as seen in the picture above. There is a status LED in the front right of the unit that indicates if the drive is operational. The enclosure does not include drivers because the Mac OS after 9.0 will mount the unit automatically without any extra drivers. Prior to that version of the Mac OS, we can provide drivers that will work--just put that in the 'comments' part of the order form.

Does it have an Oxford 911 chip?

Yes, this enclosure does use the super-fast Oxford 911 chip. It's the fastest "bridge chip" out there--the chip that converts, in effect, the FireWire bus to the IDE connector inside the enclosure. For more information on the Oxford 911 chip and the company behind it, read this article at MacObserver.

Receipts? Warranty? Returns?

We'll include an itemized receipt with your order and we personally guarantee each purchaser's satisfaction on top of the 1 year limited warranty offered by Cross Linking Corp. If you have any problem at all, we'll take it back, replace it, and/or refund your money--no questions asked. We also can take purchase orders. Please email for details.

Okay, I want one, how do I get it?
